181 Women Helpline offers 24/7 support for women in distress. Help us publicize on your digital platforms. In turn the Helpline will provide all your users and employees with emergency support, information on government schemes, support services like shelter, protection orders, etc. The Helpline also provides guidance to women facing crisis and directs to a counselling resource nearby.

This project is funded by the ‘NIrbhaya Project’ and the Chennai Safe City Project, an initiative of the Central Government, as part of measures to be taken to curb violence against women. The Justice Verma Committee Report has prescribed certain important measures for increasing security of women in rural and urban places. Eight cities have been identified for implementation of the Safe City Project, under the Nirbhaya Fund. These are Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Lucknow.
